Whether you're visiting, just moving to town or have been a resident for years, I hope that you'll find your time in Kennedale warm and inviting. To quote the city's Ends Statement, our Council and staff strive to make Kennedale "...a family-oriented community providing a refuge from the hectic pace of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex."

The implementation of our strategic plan, 'Imagine Kennedale 2015' (PDF), was a major catalyst for the positive development, innovation, and planning that has blossomed recently. As you may have noticed, big changes are taking place and Kennedale continues to grow.

The Kennedale TownCenter Plaza and shopping area has flourished with the construction of new retail buildings and the railroad Section House replica, which now houses the Chamber of Commerce.

Kennedale has become a well-recognized city in the Metroplex, and our small town charm, excellent public schools, and family-friendly atmosphere continue to be some of our greatest assets.

The tremendous support of the community during our events is a great source of pride. The annual, Christmas Tree Lighting, Bark in the Park, KIDFISH, and Trunk-or-Treat & Pumpkin Palooza are all great successes due to the high level of community involvement and dedication.

As the Mayor of Kennedale, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our community, and I'd like to thank all of you for your support as we head into the future.

Sincerely,
Mayor Brian Johnson
