Topics include:

  • Bird anatomy as it pertains to field identification
  • Types of birds common to our region during this season
  • Basic ecology, habitat associations, and behaviors
Birdwatching at Southwest Nature Preserve from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
5201 Bowman Springs Road in Arlington
We’ll visit the boardwalk at the South Pond and hike along one of the trails. 
The concrete trail leading to the boardwalk is handicapped accessible, 
but the other trails may involve steep climbing.
